FY23 BUDGET AUDIT FIRM SELECTION ADVISORY COMMITTEE CHARGE
a. The length of time each member is being asked to serve.
The FY23 Budget Audit Firm Selection Advisory Committee shall be asked to convene immediately and serve until it has voted to recommend at least two independent external audit firms for the FY23 Budget Audit to the Brockton School Committee.
b. The assignment the School Committee wishes the committee to fulfill and the extent and limitations of its responsibilities.
To review, interview, and recommend audit firms to conduct the forensic and performance audits of the Brockton School Committee, focused on the FY23 budget shortfall.
c. The resources the School Committee will provide.
The Brockton School Committee will provide meeting time/space and any resources reasonably required for the Advisory Committee to accomplish its objective.
d. The approximate dates on which the School Committee wishes to receive major reports.
The Brockton School Committee anticipates the Advisory Committee will provide its recommendations of at least two (2) audit firms to the Brockton School Committee as soon as is reasonably possible.
e. School Committee policies governing citizens, committees and the relationship of these committees to the School Committee as a whole, individual School Committee members, the Superintendent, and other members of the professional staff.

f. Responsibilities for the release of information to the press
All Advisory Committee meetings will be broadcast and recorded as public meetings. Any comments to the press on behalf of the Advisory Committee will be through the Communications Office of the Brockton Public Schools
