When
2/12/2026, 12:00 PM 1:00 PM

In conjunction with the Lappin Foundation (lappinfoundation.org), Ms. Magda Sternberg Bader, a Holocaust Survivor, will speak with our Seniors from Ms. Aufiero's English class and Sophomores from Mr. Cassell's US History II class. Both classes recently read "Night" by Elie Wiesel.

Bio: Magda Sternberg Bader was born on April 17, 1930, in Munkács, Czechoslovakia. Magda’s idyllic life ended when her town was invaded by the Nazis in 1939. Eventually expelled from her home, confined to a ghetto, and then forcibly transported in a cattle car to the death camp Auschwitz, then-teenager Magda Bader made the split-second decision to let go of her mother’s hand while in line destined for the gas chamber. Magda will share her story of survival of two camps, slave labor, harrowing escape, and her life after the Holocaust.
