Members of the Empower Yourself/Brockton High School drone team, which also includes students from Ashfield Middle School, will be making their second annual trip to the New England Regional Drone Competition of the Aero Robotics Competion. The competition will be held Saturday, May 10, at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.
This year, teams will compete in four categories: autonomous flight, semi-autonomous flight, technical presentation, and present a response on an ethical question from industry professionals representing the U.S. Navy and Air Force and the private sector.
Participating schools include Belmont High School, Brockton High School, Burlington High School, Nipmuc Regional High School, a Hanscom AFB team and the River Valley Technical Center.
