BROCKTON — Colleen Proudler has been appointed as the interim principal of the Gilmore School for the 2025–2026 school year.
Interim Principal Proudler possesses nearly 25 years of experience working in the Brockton Public Schools, along with a strong background in both school and district-level leadership. Most recently, she has served as the district’s Associate Director of Human Resources, a position she has held since 2022.
Prior to her work at the Central Office, Proudler held multiple school leadership positions in the district. She joined BPS in 2001 as assistant principal at the Angelo School, before going on to serve as principal of Belmont Street School, Plouffe Elementary, the Arnone School and the Downey School. Her decade-long tenure at the Arnone and her leadership across multiple schools reflect a strong track record in advancing academic achievement, strengthening school culture and mentoring educators.
Over the course of her career, Proudler has led educational redesign efforts, implemented sustainable school improvement systems, and championed equity and inclusion across the district.
“Colleen is a proven leader whose deep understanding of our schools and commitment to educational excellence make her the right choice to lead the Gilmore community this year,” said Superintendent Priya Tahiliani.
Before joining Brockton Public Schools, she served as a classroom teacher and assistant principal in the Alief Independent School District in Houston, Texas. She has also worked as an adjunct professor at Fitchburg State University.
