The Brookfield hosted a special reunion between Army National Guard Sgt. Steven Wilson and his sons, Jameson (Pre-K) & Henry (third grade).
Sgt. Wilson had been deployed in Poland since late 2024 and Friday, Sept. 19, marked his first time seeing his two children, Jameson and Henry, since then. To mark the occasion, the Brookfield team partnered with the PTO to arrange for a surprise reunion during Brookfield's first Community Day assembly for the 25-26 school year.
Henry was called up to be presented with the Patience Award, recognizing his efforts at school and at home while his dad was away. It was then that Sgt. Wilson emerged to greet Henry and his younger brother Jameson, who turned 5 the day before.
To celebrate, the Wilsons spent the day together before a Hibachi dinner and a weekend trip to watch school bus races.
