Over the last two years, Brockton students have been among the best in a nationwide mock stock trading competition that has given students the opportunity to explore investing and wealth building while competing against peers from across the country. In the first two years that Brockton middle and high school students have participated, they have finished among the 10 best student traders in America both times!
Now, the 25-26 competition year is about to kick off and there is still time for students to sign up to learn how to invest and compete to win real prize money they can use to begin building a real-world portfolio of their own. The competition year begins on Sept. 29, and parents and teachers will for the first time also be invited to compete in their own bracket and learn the essential skills they need to create a successful investment portfolio.
Each contestant will receive $1 million in mock money to begin trading. Those who finish with among the most in their portfolio at the end of this year's competition will have the chance to travel to Chicago in the fall of 2026 to have their success recognized. The competition is sponsored by The BASE Chicago, and the top eight finishers will win their share of $15,000 in real prize money.

Contestants will also need to register on the trading platform itself, which you'll find instructions to do immediately after you complete the initial registration form.
