On her last day as a community facilitator, following 26 years of service to the Brockton Public Schools and a significant amount of time spent at the Angelo School, the Angelo honored Manuela Santos with a Final Walk through the school's halls.
Santos worked her way through the building waving goodbye to students and staff who cheered for her, chanted her name and held up signs congratulating her on a job well done.
Santos, who will be celebrating a milestone birthday and wedding anniversary in 2026, said she has no specific plans for retirement beyond spending more time with her family and taking a big trip with all of them, including her daughter-in-law who continues to work at the Angelo.
As a final surprise, members of the Angelo team presented Santos with a check for $640 made out to Father Bill's and Mainspring in Brockton, which came from donations by Angelo staff in recognition of Santos' well-known spirit of giving.
