Brockton High Business Students Build Relationships at School-Based Networking Event

Brockton High students in Brockton High's CTE Business & Leadership Academy, part of BHS' career & technical education program, had the chance to start building their networks by making a great impression on area professionals (including several BHS alums) who joined them for The Bridge networking event recently.

The Bridge on Thursday, Nov., served as an opportunity for students in Ms. Balboni's business I and II classes to not only dress in their professional best, but to cycle their way through several impactful conversations with area professionals who took time to get to know BHS students and delve into how their experiences might support students' future career aspirations.

his event served as a powerful learning experience where students practiced real-world communication skills, built confidence, and engaged in meaningful conversations about career readiness, leadership, and future opportunities.

Professionals rotated through small-group sessions, allowing every student the chance to participate, ask questions, and make authentic connections. The event was thoughtfully planned and facilitated by our Business I students, who took ownership of everything from the agenda to the icebreaker activities. The Bridge Networking Event reflects our mission: building pathways between our students and the professional community, expanding their horizons, and empowering them for life after high school. We are grateful to all the professionals who invested their time and expertise to help make this event an inspiring success.
