The mission of the Brockton Public School's (BPS) Development & Grants Office is to procure federal, state and private grant resources to support teaching and learning that ensures all BPS students an education that will effectively prepare them for college and career in a global economy.
The BPS Grants & Development Office (DGO):
- Provides Grant Writing & Proposal Development and technical assistance for BPS teaching staff and administrators. The Grants Office will assist with grant writing, editing, preparation and timely submission of entitlement and competitive grant applications, per public and private funding agency priorities and guidelines.
- Provides Quality Assurance to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, timeliness, and competitive presentations of district grant proposals. Refer to the Project Planning Worksheet as a guiding tool to developing your grant proposal.
- Ensures that all BPS grant proposals comply with district policies and procedures, including, approval for submission by the BPS School Committee. Please complete a School Committee Agenda Form and send it to the DGO prior to submitting all grant applications, at least 10 days prior to School Committee meetings.
- Ensures compliance with public and private grant funding agencies, including, Grant Program Management, monitoring, and evaluation. The Grants Office oversees compliance with programmatic and fiscal reporting guidelines and provides a central file for all district grants.
