BPS to Launch Community Planning Team

BPS to Launch Community Planning Team

Dear BPS Families,

I am pleased to share that we are launching the new strategic planning process that will define the future of our district. The success of this planning process hinges on including the voices of all members of our community. With that goal in mind, I’d like to invite interested parents and guardians to apply to be a part of the Community Planning Team.

This volunteer group will be comprised of people from different backgrounds who have different perspectives and experiences with our schools. It will consist of students, family members, staff members, School Committee members, school leaders, union leaders and community members and partners. The team will help engage the larger community in the work of envisioning the future of the Brockton Public Schools and will ensure these community voices are represented in the strategic plan. This team will work in coordination with the District Leadership Team to develop the plan.

Team members will commit to attending five virtual meetings that will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on the following dates: October 14, November 15, December 6, January 10, and February 7. If you have interest in applying or would like to learn more, please click here. The deadline to complete the form is Friday, October 1.

I thank you in advance for your consideration.
