Important Safety Reminder from BPS

Important Safety Reminder from BPS

Dear BPS Families,

Doing our best to keep COVID-19 out of our schools requires constant vigilance from every member of our community. I’d like to remind you to please keep your child home if you or anyone in your household is ill and awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test. You are encouraged to call your child's school to keep them informed of your status so that they can provide a remote learning option as needed.

If you test positive, your child’s school nurse will be able to share next steps with you over the phone. It’s critically important that your child stays home for the entire quarantine period. We’re prepared to work with you to support your child’s educational needs while they are at home.

We're so proud of how well our students are adhering to wearing masks, washing their hands, and keeping their distance from others. It’s clear that many of them have been practicing these safety measures outside of school and we appreciate everything you’re doing to encourage that habit.

Between the nice weather and vaccine availability it is easy to let our guards down, but COVID-19 is still present in our community and we must continue these efforts when in public for the foreseeable future.

Thank you,

Superintendent Thomas
