Public Notice of the Destruction of Student Records at the Kennedy School

Brockton Public Schools

[NOVEMBER 10, 2021]

In compliance with 603 CMR 23.06 (3), the Brockton Public School District (“BPS”) will destroy the student records of any Kennedy School student who transferred, withdrew or terminated from BPS on or before November 10, 2014. This is in accordance with the requirement to destroy such records within a period of seven years. Student(s) who moved on to other BPS schools would be able to obtain their records from the final school they attended so long as they attended said school within the last seven years.

Any parent/guardian or eligible student can obtain their student record within 30 days of this notice by contacting the Kennedy School at 508-580-7278 no later than Friday, December 10, 2021. All unclaimed student records meeting the above criteria will be destroyed after the December 10 deadline.

On an annual basis, BPS will give notice and destroy the student records of students who have exited BPS seven years prior. Any parent/guardian or former eligible student may review and/or receive these records prior to their destruction by contacting the final school they attended.
