XFINITY Internet Essentials

PDF Versions of Letter

Dear Parents of Brockton Public School Students,

Having the ability to use the Internet at home for school work, rather than having to seek out a public library or other source of online assistance, can be the difference in closing the homework gap for many with limited family income.

The Brockton Public Schools is working with Xfinity and its Xfinity Internet Essentials program to provide equal opportunities for our low-income families to qualify for $9.95/month internet service at home.

Please click on the following link for more information on the Xfinity Internet Essentials program:

To participate, families must have at least one child who qualifies for the National School Lunch Program; they must not have outstanding debt to Comcast that is less than a year old (although if they do they still may be eligible); and they must live in an area where Comcast Internet service is available but have not subscribed to it within the last 90 days.

To determine if your child qualifies, please contact Janice Johnson Plumer, Community Outreach Specialist at or directly at 508-208-5518.

Together, we can make an important difference for your children.
