This is an experiment-based applied physics course designed for students who are interested in any field of engineering. Students will explore the principles and concepts of physics using the technology of today as models. Students will use technology to prove the principles across mechanical, thermal, fluid, and electrical systems. They will be able to transfer the concepts between the areas of study to more complex systems. This class reinforces the math skills necessary to be competitive in today's job market, therefore, a strong math background is recommended.
This is the first suggested course in the sequence of courses designed to prepare students for the Science and Technology/Engineering MCAS test.
This course meets graduation requirements for science.
