Principal's Message

Dear Arnone Families,

We look forward to a wonderful year with you and your children. This is my seventh year at the Arnone School and I am so proud of all of my staff and students. The Arnone is truly a wonderful place to be!

The Arnone School is a PBIS School (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). This school-wide initiative builds on our existing Arnone expectations. PBIS is a program supported by the Brockton Public Schools as a way to maximize academic achievement and behavioral competence. It is a school-wide strategy designed to help all students achieve important social and learning goals. We know that when good behavior and good teaching come together, our students will excel! Ask any child that attends the Arnone and they will be able to recite the Arnone pledge, “As an Arnone student I will show respect, responsibility, safety, and kindness.” Through PBIS, we ask all of our students and all of our staff to live out those words each and every day.

Thank you for sharing your children with us! Welcome to the Arnone!

School Improvement Plan

Arnone 2012-2014 School Improvement Plan

Every Brockton Public School has an individual School Improvement Plan, a two‐year strategic plan for schools to follow to achieve academic and non-academic goals. The plans are developed among school leadership, faculty and staff and serve as a blueprint for success.

School Improvement plans require school personnel to set challenging goals for student performance, and must articulate the strategies the school staff will use to reach their targets.

In addition to approving each school’s SIP, Central Office conducts three to four “Walk Throughs” per school per year to gather data and provide feedback to site-level leaders about how effectively the plans are being implemented. What’s exciting about this is that everyone recognizes the importance of this kind of feedback and is actively supporting this kind of valuable work – principals, teachers, administrators and union officials.
