INCOME FROM SCHOOL SALES - DFF

Products offered for sale through school programs, such as DECA at Brockton High School, shall not be considered as income producing for the school system. All money received for DECA sales shall be turned in each day to the Brockton High School principal or his/her designee. This money shall go into the school’s bank account. The principal shall authorize the expenditure of this type of fund. Other types of income producing sales by schools are prohibited. However, parent advisory groups can be authorized by principals to conduct sales. The receipts shall be deposited and expended by the Parent Advisory Council only. According to Chapter 44, Section 53, sums recovered from pupils in the public schools for loss of schoolbooks or paid by pupils for materials used in the Technical Education projects may be used by the School Committee for the replacement of such books or materials without specific appropriation.
