The Brockton School Committee believes that evaluations are an important tool in providing for excellence in education. Therefore, it is the policy of the Brockton School Committee that all employees shall be evaluated on a regularly scheduled basis, to be determined by negotiated contractual provisions, other factors such as length of service, and Federal, State and local laws as they may apply. In the case of non-bargaining unit certified staff, intervals of evaluations will be determined by the Superintendent, but in any event occur no less frequently than once per fiscal year.
The substance of an administrator’s evaluation or a teacher’s evaluation will be based upon the Principals of Effective Administrative Leadership and Principals of Effective teaching.
