Education is a cooperative enterprise in which all employees of the school system must participate intelligently and effectively for the benefit of the children. The Brockton Public School System will employ support staff members in positions that function to support the education program.
The School Committee will establish all support staff positions initially. In each case, the Superintendent will submit for the Committee's consideration and action a job description or job specifications for the position.
Although positions may remain temporarily unfilled, or the number of persons holding the same type of position reduced in event of de-staffing requirements, only the Committee may abolish a position it has created.
