In the opinion of the School Committee, any unauthorized absence from school is considered truancy and will be treated as such in accord with the provisions of the Student Discipline Code.
All truants shall be reported to the Supervisor of Attendance so that an accurate account can be given to the Superintendent in the monthly report.
In addition, pupils identified as truants will be referred to the Guidance Department and/or the School Adjustment Counselor.
