ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS ATHLETICS AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES - JJJ

During the last marking period preceding the contest, a student must earn a total of nine credits. Second term marks determine third term eligibility.

To satisfy this requirement, a student must pass one course each term.

To be eligible for the fall marking period, students are required to earn a total of eighteen credits for the previous school year.

If a student is eligible to attend summer school, courses failed can be retaken and if passed, used toward fall academic requirements.

Incomplete grades may not be counted toward eligibility.

Academic eligibility for all students shall be considered official when the report cards for that ranking period have been issued to the entire student body.

A student receiving services under Chapter 766 whose individualized education plan is a 502.4 or more restrictive prototype may be declared academically eligible by the principal provided that all other eligibility requirements are met.
