Subject: RE: Brockton High School - Annual inspection

Mike,

With submittal of the letter to the EPA 7/24/17 regarding the annual High School façade inspection completed by ATC, our current scope of work is complete.  Attached is our invoice for these services.  A paper copy is also being mailed.
I will touch base with you next spring to discuss the 2018 program.

Based upon the work we completed this year ATC concludes/recommends that,

  • PCBs were not detected in any surface wipe of encapsulated areas.  This indicates that the encapsulants, including material on the Gymnasium applied over the past year, are performing as intended and direct contact is not a pathway for exposure to residual PCBs that may be present in building materials.
  • Encapsulant is not peeling or flaking.
  • ATC recommends over-caulking or taping the existing window glazing and door/window frame surround caulk, or placing a barrier to restrict access to these sealants at the daycare windows that are within 3 feet of the floor.
  • The letter should be posted on the community outreach website.
  • Annual inspections should continue.

I am available to discuss our work completed and anticipated at your convenience.

Mike
